Our Identity:
Island Car Hire King Island was created by and is run by a local family. We are car enthusiasts (our classic car collection is proof of that) and have had over 40 years of experience working with cars before starting Island Car Hire. When you hire a car with us you can be confident that it is well maintained inside and out.
Core Values:
We’ve also dealt with the good, bad and ugly of car hire as customers and want to be different than the rest. We value honesty,integrity, perfectionism, good customer service and efficiency. Excellent communication, flexibility and streamlined processes are a key part of what makes our service so simple and stress-free unlike bigger car hire companies. We are strongly against sneaky fees and hidden charges, scummy business practices or hiring out rusty ‘budget bangers’ with unsightly imperfections.
We Do Car Hire Your Way:
If organizing a hire car or making phone calls fills you with dread, we are the perfect company as we can do everything via email and text without you having to even speak to us directly. If you love having a good chat, that’s fine too! We are happy to organize your booking over the phone. We can also drop your car off to you at a custom hire location like Currie or Grassy Harbour (for an affordable fee).
Your Safety is Always Our Main Priority.
That’s why every car gets a Tasmanian roadworthy every six months and is hire and drive accredited. Our workshop team go through a detailed checklist before your car reaches you.
